I see rich lime green bushes glowing in the sunlight of this hot summers day
A golden butterfly glide through the air like a sun as beautiful as gold
A bunch of pretty purple flowers swaying in the peaceful wind
The Chapel Downs sign stand proud throughout the school
Trouble Down Under
After driving for what seemed like hours, we had finally arrived at the beach. ‘Ha, Ha!’ I hear my brother yell as he grabs me and we run down to the beach like racing cars. The clear ocean blue water touches the tips of my toes and I was so tempted to dive in, as if there was a chocolate bar hanging there. After a few minutes we dived right in! The sea level had reached my neck, so for safety I cling onto my brothers back like a tropical monkey. As we walk deeper and deeper, In the distance I think I can hear an army approaching, but I was mistaken! It was a colossal wave! I fled in terror, the wave filled me with panic and the next thing I know i’m laying face first on the ground! My legs flap around crazily as if I am a little mermaid but little did I know that this little mermaid is going to become unconscious! My brother pulls my life-less body up to the surface, and bravely performed CPR, and in that moment of silence...I opened my eyes, and took that very first breath! I felt a wash of relief run down my body leaving me with a smile. I hear gasps of relief but no-one, feels as relieved, as me!

What Is Anzac Day?
April 25th is the anniversary of the ANZACS (Australia New Zealand Army Corps) landing at Gallipoli in 1915 during World War One. Over 7000 New Zealand Soldiers were wounded and 2721 were tragically killed. Australians suffered as well 26, 111 were injured 8141 were killed.
888141 were 8141 and 8141 were tragically killed.
We commemorate the soldiers that tragically fought for their country, and lost their lives.
When soldiers died, in Flanders Fields poppies started growing and amazingly only red poppies were growing. So we symbolize it as all the blood that were shed. Poppy Day is held on the Friday before Anzac Day. The first New Zealand Poppy Day was held in 1922.
